Formed in Liverpool in 1960, The Beatles are often regarded as the most influential band of all time. Between 1961 and 1963, they made 292 appearances at The Cavern Club, a small venue in Liverpool which originally opened as a jazz club in 1957, and Beatlemania soon took hold of their fans after the releases of singles such as 'Please Please Me', 'From Me to You' and 'She Loves You'.
