Top 10 Rarest Records Atlas Records Sold In February 2026

Rare Vinyl Records

Holly |

Back to some classics for the month of February! Our rarest records sold this month included several rock legends, including Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath.

A particular highlight for us came in the form of a complete set of The Beatles' DeAgostini Collection, containing 39 LPs plus extra items such as a backpack and mug.

You can read our other top tens and a guide to protecting your records by exploring the rest of our blog.

Read on to discover our rarest albums this month.

10 - My Bloody Valentine - You Made Me Realise

The third EP released by My Bloody Valentine, You Made Me Realise arrived three years prior to their iconic album Loveless, and marked an important moment in the development of the band’s shoegaze sound. Drawing inspiration from musicians including Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) and J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr), the EP helped establish the swirling guitars and dense textures the band would later become known for. The title track was also released as a single, limited to just 1000 copies, helping to build momentum around the release.

9 - Led Zeppelin - Untitled [IV]

There are eight known early versions of this album released on the “plum” Atlantic label, with the copy we sold identified as variant two. The specific features that define it as this variant include:

- The feather symbol on side 2 being the right way up
- The catalogue number above the circular Atlantic logo reading “deluxe 2401012”
- “Marketed by Polydor Records Limited” printed at 6 o’clock on the labels

…and several other small details besides. Collectors have a habit of going into incredible levels of detail when distinguishing between variants of 60s and 70s rock records, particularly when it comes to the biggest names of the era - and few bands inspire that kind of scrutiny quite like Led Zeppelin.

8 - The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Coming in at number eight is a record-collecting classic: a mono first press of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles. While this is a record we see reasonably often - often a few copies per month - it’s far less common to find one in Excellent condition (both sleeve and record), and with both of its original extras intact: the red and white psychedelic inner sleeve and the green cut-outs insert.

The combination of strong condition and complete original contents made this a particularly desirable copy, and a very worthy addition to this month’s top 10.

7 - David Bowie With The Lower Third - Can't Help Thinking About Me

It’s always a pleasure to see a 7" single make its way onto this list.

This early David Bowie release, credited to David Bowie With The Lower Third, was issued in 1966, and the copy we sold was a US promotional pressing. It’s an incredibly difficult single to find, and as far as we could tell at the time, ours was the only copy currently available for sale online. UK versions of this single are just as scarce.

It’s such an interesting piece of Bowie history that we even made a video about it. Rather than us trying to summarise it all here, we’ll let our founder Chris explain…

6 - Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

The only non-British artist entry on this month’s list, our copy of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) was a USA first pressing of the group’s landmark 1993 debut. Already a rare 90s pressing, this made it a particularly desirable release. With CDs rapidly overtaking vinyl in the late 80s and early 90s, far fewer records were pressed during this period - making original LPs like this increasingly sought after today.

We’ve been picking up a good number of hip hop and rap releases over the last few months, with other highlights including records from Nas, A Tribe Called Quest and MF Doom.

5 - Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Another icon of rock history lands at number five: Paranoid by Black Sabbath. Pressed in 1970, the copy we sold was a UK second pressing in Excellent condition, complete with its original “Vertigo” inner sleeve. Widely regarded as one of the most important albums in the development of heavy metalParanoid was even ranked number one on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time” list in 2017.

4 - Led Zeppelin - BBC Sessions

We’ve had our hands on a few versions of Led Zeppelin’s BBC Sessions box set over the years, originally released in 1997. This particular copy, however, was something new for us - the US Classic Records 200g Quiex SV-P edition, likely pressed in the mid-2000s.

Classic Records was a US label specialising in audiophile reissues of iconic albums. They initially focused on classical and jazz releases before expanding into other genres such as rock and soul after 2002. “Quiex SV-P” refers to the specific high-quality vinyl pressing formula developed by the label, aimed at delivering improved sound quality for collectors and audiophiles alike.

3 - Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon

Heading into the three rarest records sold in February, and there aren't many surprises to be found here.

At number three, we have a solid blue triangle first pressing of The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. Much like our earlier rare David Bowie entry on this list, Chris and the team made a fantastic video detailing three different editions of this album, so we'll let you hear it from him...

2 - The Complete DeAgostini Beatles Collection

One of the most extraordinary entries ever to grace this list - and frankly, our warehouse - is this 39-LP Beatles collection released by DeAgostini. Housed across three hulking black storage boxes, the set was originally sold as a subscription series, with subscribers receiving one or two albums and a magazine written by Beatles historian Kevin Howlett every two weeks.

The result is a complete run of Beatles albums on vinyl, including all of the studio releases alongside key compilation albums and Past Masters, plus extra items such as backpacks, posters, slip mats and t-shirts.

1 - Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin

And at number one - this month, could it really have been anything other than one of the true holy grails of record collecting?

Here we have a copy of Led Zeppelin’s self-titled debut album, featuring the iconic turquoise front cover text. Widely regarded as one of the most desirable variations of the record, this particular copy was also possibly the best condition example we’ve ever seen. Originally released in 1969, the album drew heavily from blues and folk influences of the time, including rearranged versions of songs such as Babe I'm Gonna Leave You by Anne Bredon and Dazed and Confused by Jake Holmes.

We hope you enjoyed discovering our top ten rarest records from February, and the videos featuring Chris taking a closer look at a couple of them.
