This month's top picks are a varied mix, ranging from blues Rock to psychedelic, and not forgetting The Beatles.

10 - Climax Blues Band Plays On - First Press
Released in October 1969, eight months after the band's first album was released, this album was one of the first official productions for Chris Thomas, who was also working with The Beatles at the time. The band took time away from their day jobs to record this in Abbey Road studios, while The Beatles were recording just across the hallway.
9 - Buckingham Nicks - Buckingham Nicks
Buckingham Nicks is the only studio album Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks released together. It was released in 1973 and despite the duo's later success when joining Fleetwood Mac, this album didn't perform well. Subsequently, it has never been remastered, and reissues are hard to come by. This makes this album a rarity, and a highly sought after album for fans of the duo.
8 - Billy Bragg - Mermaid Avenue
Containing previously unheard lyrics by American fold singer Woody Guthrie, put to music by Billy Bragg and American band Wilco, this album was organised by Guthrie's daughter. This album has no reissues, so the only issues in circulation are the originals, pressed in 1998.
7 - Gary Numan - Splinter - Double LP
Most issues of this album came with a signed insert, unfortunately this one contained no signature, but is still highly collectable. Pressed onto 180g vinyl, this record was released in 2013, and became Numan's highest charting album since 1983. Numan is widely regarded as a pioneer of electronic music, and is known for his distinct voice and androgynous persona.
6 - Pulp - They Suffocate At Night - 7" Single
It's rare to see a 7" single make this list, as many don't hold rarity like some LPs do. Containing an edited version of 'They Suffocate At Night' and a cut up version of 'Tunnel', this 7" single was solely released in the UK in 1987. Because the 12" singe version contains the full versions of these tracks, this 7" single is unique, and therefore a more desirable addition to a collection.
5 - Various - The Sopranos - Music From The HBO Original Series
In recent years, pressing records using coloured vinyl has become a way for artists to make their records unique and collectable, as well as an aesthetic addition to a record collection. This record marked the first time this album had been released on vinyl, despite the first episode airing 16 years prior.
4 - Pink Floyd - The Division Bell - Box Set
This 20th anniversary box set edition of The Division Bell contained reissues of two LPs, two 7" singles, a 12" single, a CD and a Blu-Ray album. Any Pink Floyd album is highly sought after, and this anniversary edition is no different. Because this set contains new, coloured editions of some of the records, it made for an exciting new addition to any Pink Floyd fan's collection.
3 - Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols - LP and 7" Single
It's not often we see an issue of this album with the 7" single here at Atlas Records. Often bonus 7"s get lost along the way and by the time the album gets to us, the LP is all that remains. The 7" single with this album is a single sided edition of 'Submission', with a silent groove on the B side, meaning that while there are still grooves on the B side, it plays a silent track. This issue is rarer than its counterparts because it is the 'pre main press' issue, which means that it was pressed and released before the official press.
2 - All Them Witches - Our Mother Electricity
All Them Witches were the first American band signed to the German heavy psych record label Elektrohasch Schallplatten. Our Mother Electricity was the band's first album, released as a CD, and on two iterations of vinyl - black and orange. Their unique sound in this genre makes them stand out from the crowd, carrying the hard psychedelic rock sound, whose growth is attributed to the 1960s, into the 21st century.
1 - The Beatles - The Beatles Collection - Box Set
A common occurrence in most months, The Beatles have made the top spot this time with their collection box set. Featuring their best-selling albums, plus some rarities, this collection is top of many a Beatles fan's want list. You can read more about The Beatles' rise to popularity and the significance of their albums in our blog post celebrating Global Beatles day.
