Buddy Holly was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist who rose to fame in the 1950s. He was a pioneer of
rock and roll, blending

pop influences into his music. Holly had numerous hits, including ‘Peggy Sue,’ ‘That'll Be the Day,’ and ‘Everyday.’
He tragically passed away in a plane crash in 1959, but his music continued to inspire generations of musicians and fans alike. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
