Cher (Cherilyn Sarkisian) was born in 1946. She left home when she was sixteen years old in order to pursue a career in acting and performing and met Sonny Bono in 1965. The pair would go on to perform all over the world. Their success was cemented through the release of songs like ‘I Got You Babe’, and ‘The Beat Goes On’.
Cher also worked closely with many famous faces during both her musical and television career. She even hosted her own evening entertainment shows and would feature artists like Bobby Darin, The Supremes, and The Jackson 5.
