Rising to success as a member of The Beatles, Paul McCartney taught himself to write songs as a teenager. His debut solo album (‘McCartney’) was released in 1970 after the Beatles disbanded, followed by the formation of the band ‘Wings’ alongside his first wife, Linda.

The 80s saw McCartney collaborate with Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, and in 1990 he performed the then highest-attended concert. It was in Rio de Janeiro and attracted 184,000 guests.
