Surf Vinyl Records

A genre of rock associated with surf culture from Southern California, surf music was particularly popular from 1958 to 1964. It rivalled scenes including Motown, with major artists including Dick Dale and The Beach Boys.

The genre is characterised by reverb heavy guitars and vocal harmonies. During its later stages, many of the songs were about cars and girls.
