Streisand was born in 1942 and began her performing career in the early 1960s for various nightclubs and theatre shows throughout New York City. Streisand featured in the 1976 film adaptation of ‘A Star Is Born’ alongside Kris Kristofferson.

The film would later go on to be remade again in 2018, with Lady Gaga playing Streisand’s character of Esther Hoffman Howard. Streisand amassed more than 150 million global record sales making her one of the most successful recording artists of all time.
