Comprised of four members, (Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey) the Eagles formed in 1971 and achieved five number-one singles and six number-one albums in their more than three-decade-long career.

One of their most popular singles ‘Hotel California’ won the band ‘Record of the Year’ at the Grammies in 1978 and was even due to be turned into a feature film until it was eventually cancelled. Joe Walsh joined the band in 1975 - and even though it is Walsh that came up with and performed the iconic solo in the final section of ‘Hotel California’, he did not receive any writing credits for it.
