Rare Vinyl Records

Holly |

Here's our rundown of the top 10 rarest records we sold in April 2026! Highlights this month include a pick from our Ultra-Rare Monthly Record Drop, plus three 7" singles - including two very rare late 70s punk releases from No Way and Amazing Space Frogs.

Other highlights this month include a sealed Manic Street Preachers Greatest Hits album and a couple of sought-after Bob Marley compilation albums from a series that brought together his works from 1967 to 1972.

You can read our other top tens and a guide to protecting your records by exploring the rest of our blog.

Read on to discover our rarest albums this month.

10 - Manic Street Preachers - Forever Delayed - The Greatest Hits

While we don't know how many copies were pressed, it is clear that this is one of a reasonably low number of copies of this release in existence, considering the small numbers available for sale and only three release variants entered on Discogs. Forever Delayed is a greatest hits album by The Manic Street Preachers, originally released in 2002 and featuring two new singles - There By The Grace of God and Door to the River.

9 - Stereolab - Stunning Debut Album - Clear 7"

This very scarce Stereolab single, pressed in 1991, is actually a reissue of the original version, which was limited to 1000 copies but was rejected by the band because what was supposed to be a clear vinyl with coloured splashes came out to be a muddy green colour. The majority of the original pressing was sent back to the pressing plant for recycling.

8 - Legend - Legend

Legend was a blues rock band formed by Mickey Jupp in 1968. Released by Vertigo Records, this was an original UK pressing, complete with original Vertigo swirl inner sleeve and Vertigo label. The band was popular in the early 70s pub rock scene, and was championed by DJ John Peel.

7 - Bob Marley - The Complete Wailers 1967-1972 Part 1

Released in the late 90s and early 2000s, this is part one of a compilation series that brought together early, crucial Bob Marley & The Wailers recordings from 1967 to 1972. The sheer quantity of material included in this means that the releases span eleven volumes and 220 tracks.

6 - Bob Marley & The Wailers - Freedom Time

Next up, Bob Marley! This is part four of the series featured above, with this part being released in 2002. A couple of tracks from this album were previously unreleased outside of Jamaica, while a few others had never been released at all. As we buy collections from individuals, we tend to come across several or all records from a set at once - and it's fairly common for those sets to sell on to another individual who loves that artist just as much.

5 - Led Zeppelin - In Through The Out Door - Box Set

This box set was our very first sale from our new Ultra-Rare Monthly Drop collection, where we have curated our most sought-after records into one place. Each have been through a special process, including ultrasonic cleaning using a Degritter. We're very excited about the opportunity to learn about and champion these scarce releases - discover our latest picks below.

4 - Queens Of The Stone Age - Self Titled

This copy of Queens of the Stone Age is the original US first pressing on Man’s Ruin Records, issued right before the band broke through to a wider international audience. It shows the album in its earliest physical form, back when Queens of the Stone Age were still firmly rooted in the underground desert rock scene. This pressing is especially interesting as it predates the later Roadrunner and Rekords Rekords distribution, which brought changes in artwork and a more commercial approach.

3 - Amazing Space Frogs - Dirty Habits - 7"

Nothing like an unassuming punk 7" single to hit the top three in our rarest records list... Only 500 copies of this release were pressed, and at time of writing, there are no other copies available for sale on eBay or Discogs, though there is a far more affordable (and obtainable) 2015 Spanish repressing available if you'd like to explore this late 70s release further...

2 - The Beatles Collection 13 x LP Box Set

Well, this top ten had been feeling a little light on The Beatles! Here it is, this release is a late 70s box set compiling their thirteen original LPs, from Please Please Me through to Rarities. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band came with its original cut-out sheet, and The White Album came with four prints and a fold-out lyric poster.

1 - No Way - Breaking Point - 7" EP

Yet another unassuming punk 7"! This one too was limited to just 500 copies and dates from 1978, a year before the Amazing Space Frogs single featured in third place. There isn't much information to be found online about No Way, so here's a webpage from boredteenagers.co.uk with an entry by one of the band members, Paul Callan.

We hope you enjoyed discovering our top ten rarest records from April. If you made it all the way down to here, we suspect you did, so do go and have a look at our Ultra-Rare Monthly Record Drop too - on the 1st of every month, we drop the very rarest records we've come across that month.
