Coming to prominence as one half of duo Yazoo (also known as Yaz) alongside Vince Clarke, Alison Moyet has been working as a solo artist since the mid 80s after Yazoo was disbanded in 1983.

Moyet’s debut solo album ‘Alf’ reached number one in the UK album chart, Alf being her nickname. She performed at Live Aid in 1985 alongside Paul Young and came back onstage to provide vocals after Paul McCartney’s microphone failed.
