T Rex, led by the iconic Marc Bolan, was a British rock band that rose to fame in the 1970s glam rock era. Bolan's distinctive vocals and catchy guitar riffs were the hallmark of their sound, which was characterized by a blend of rock, pop, and psychedelic music. T Rex had a string of hits in the early 70s, including "Bang a Gong (Get It On)," "Jeepster," and "Children of the Revolution."

Their influence on the music scene of that time was significant, and they inspired many other musicians who followed in their footsteps.
