Our Comments: Master Of Reality came in one of Vertigo's oddest sleeves, a box-style cover with a flap at the top and lamination laid over embossed lettering - about as fragile as card gets. This is the UK original in that embossed box sleeve, on the swirl label with 1Y//1 2Y//1 matrices. It doesn't have the Keef poster, which went missing from most copies over the years and is now quite a collectable in its own right. This certainly isn't the best copy of this that we've ever seen - the sleeve shows reasonable signs of wear (graded VG) and the record does too. In particular, there is some wear on the final track of the A side that looks quite significant, causing a white sheen. We have played over this, however, and it doesn't appear to affect playback beyond some quiet woosh sounds after the track has finished playing. Overall, the record has a reasonably significant loss of shine and plays with quiet background noise throughout, and we've given it a VG grade overall.
