Our Comments: For years the only way to hear Zeppelin's BBC recordings was on bootlegs, so this 1997 set was a big deal. It pairs the 1969 studio sessions with the 1971 Paris Theatre concert, which has one of the earliest live 'Stairway To Heaven's, months before Led Zeppelin IV came out, and it was the band's first live release since The Song Remains The Same in 1976. This is the US four-LP edition on 180g vinyl, which we believe was produced for Atlantic by Classic Records. This release is in excellent, largely near mint condition, and the playback of these records is fantastic. They show very little sign of previous play or wear, with next to no surface marks and a strong original shine. The only more notable sign of wear on this release is towards the end of track one, side one, where there is a small scratch that does cause some quiet clicks that do not overpower the music.
