Our Comments: Presence was made in 18 days in Munich, with Robert Plant singing much of it from a wheelchair after a car crash in Greece the summer before - not that you'd guess from 'Achilles Last Stand'. This is the Classic Records reissue from 2000, mastered from the original tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl, in an embossed gatefold sleeve. Classic's Zeppelin titles have long been out of print, and plenty of listeners still rate them as the best-sounding vinyl versions going. The audio playback backs this up - the record is in lovely NM condition, with a strong shine and only a handful of very superficial surface marks.
