Our Comments: John Lennon heard the first finished copies of Revolver and wasn't happy with the mix of 'Tomorrow Never Knows', so it was swapped - but only after a run had already been pressed on the first day. Those copies carry XEX 606-1 on side two and play remix 11, with the vocal clearer over the tape loops and a longer fade with more piano at the end. This is one of them, a UK mono first pressing on the yellow and black Parlophone label with XEX 605-2 on side one. It's also in fantastic condition, with the sleeve graded EX and the record largely free of surface marks and retaining most of its original shine. While there are no marks deep enough to cause notable clicks or pops, the record does generally play with quiet, consistent background noise, settling this one at a grade of VG+. It isn't pictured, but this copy also comes with its original Emitex inner sleeve, which does have a significant split down one side, and is beginning to split on the other.
