Our Comments: An underground rarity: the only solo album by Wendell (Dell) Richardson, lead guitarist and vocalist of the Afro-rock pioneers Osibisa, recorded at the Manor in 1973 and wrapped in a Roger Dean sleeve. Laid-back, guitar-led and quietly soulful - Record Collector once listed it among their 'undiscovered rarities', and it's seldom been reissued, so original copies rarely surface. This is the UK MCA pressing (matrices 2L / 2L). Both the record and the sleeve are in decent shape - the record has a reasonable number of superficial surface marks visible under a bright light, but the audio playback is fantastic regardless - a great sounding pressing. There is some quiet crackle between songs as expected for a VG+ pressing, but on the whole this copy is lovely. The sleeve is especially rare to find in this condition.
